This is a blog which we will be using to pass on information to Newnham applicants at different stages of the application/admissions process. We will try to answer the most frequent questions for that point in the year via blog posts or comments. It is only relevant for current applicants to Newnham. Other colleges may have slight differences in their admissions procedures and timetable. All comments will be moderated and comments from applicants to other colleges will not normally be posted.

Fee status questionnaire - don't forget the evidence!
A number of applicants have sent in the fee status questionnaire
without also enclosing the required evidence of nationality. We need a
photocopy of the personal details page of your passport or, if you do
not have a passport, a copy of your birth certificate. This proof of
nationality can be sent as a scanned document via email, if that is
easier.

Have you got my forms? What next?
Now that your application has been submitted, we will process it as
quickly as we can. Please understand that we are very busy at the
moment, so it is not always possible to acknowledge every single piece
of paper we receive!
- If you live outside the EU and have asked to be interviewed by the overseas interviewing team, you will hear from them when the interviews have been scheduled. In the meantime, you can find information at: http://www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/international-students/overseas-interviews
- If you would be able to come to Cambridge, information about the
format of interviews and about any written work required for your
subject can be found here:
http://www.newn.cam.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate-admissions/how-to-apply/content/interview-subject-information
- The next deadline (for returning the data protection consent form and written work - if it is needed for your subject) is 15 November.

Welcome to the Newnham Admissions blog (2016-17 entry)!
So, you're applying to Newnham - hurray!
Posts on this blog will (we hope) help you through the application process, so do keep an eye on it during the coming weeks and months. You can also ask questions (via the comments) which may be relevant to other applicants.
We will check all comments before they appear - mostly to avoid people posting who are applying to other colleges. As we all have slightly different systems, this could cause confusion. We will take note of every comment however, and we will also put posts up if we find that the same questions are coming up in lots of your emails.

So, welcome to the blog and let us know how useful you find it!
Here's the first tip:
Once you have submitted your application, do keep looking out for emails from the Admissions Office. If you have a spam filter, it's a good idea to make sure that it will let in any emails from adm@newn.cam.ac.uk, slo@newn.cam.ac.uk or admissions@cam.ac.uk - and do check your spam or junk mailbox from time to time, in case any emails from us have got stuck in there!
